Can Sarah Sully Sullivan uncover the truth behind the coming apocalypse?

From the distant shores of ancient Mesopotamia to the towering pyramids of Egypt, from the wisdom of Greek philosophers to the intricate carvings of the Mayan civilization, the narrative of the world's ultimate demise has been woven into the fabric of humanity's existence. The names for this impending catastrophe may vary—Armageddon, Ragnarök, the Apocalypse, End of Days, Götterdämmerung, and countless others. Each is a testament to humanity's fascination with its own destruction.

And now, here in the present day, we stand at a precipice unlike any other time in our species' history. Never before in the last 12,000 years of human civilization have we come as close as we do today to realizing the fabled doomsday predictions. Our world teeters on the brink of multiple cataclysmic events, each more daunting than the last—climate change, political upheavals, pandemics, technological threats, and resource depletion. These perils, once the stuff of myth and prophecy, now manifest as all too real challenges, threatening the very foundations of our existence.

What did our ancestors know that we are yet to understand? How close are we to the brink of our own annihilation?

Dr. Sarah "Sully" Sullivan's mission, central to her character and crucial for every writer crafting her story, is a relentless pursuit to uncover ancient doomsday prophecies that she believes hold the key to preventing a modern Armageddon.

As a distinguished professor of Archaeology at Tufts University and an expert in symbology, she is acutely aware of the dire warning signs in our current era. Sully is convinced that the answers to these contemporary menaces lie hidden in the annals of the past.

Her journey is not just an academic endeavor; it is a desperate, high-stakes quest driven by a deep-seated empathy and a commitment to knowledge.

Writers must consistently portray Sully as a character whose actions and decisions are fueled by this profound belief. Every twist in her story, every challenge she faces, must reflect her unwavering resolve to connect the forgotten wisdom of ancient civilizations with the pressing needs of the present, all in a bid to steer humanity away from the precipice of its own making and towards a path of enlightenment and preservation.

Sully’s Quest: The Tricennial Nexus Cycle

In Book 9, Sully discovers the answers to her late father's notion he titled, The Tricennial Nexus Cycle. This posited that for some strange reason, natural and manmade disasters such as wars, famines, and disease were cyclical. They happened, on average, every 33 years. Why? It was/is Sully's job to find out before the next one occurs. What Sully finally uncovers (in Book 9) is an ancient codex and astrolabe that unravels the mysteries of the Tricennial Nexus Cycle. This cycle, as Sully uncovers, is primarily influenced by a comet, with ensuing ripple effects across historical, celestial, sociological, cultural, and religious domains.

The concept of the Tricennial Nexus Cycle, first proposed by Sully's late father, William the III, presents a compelling case for the interconnectedness of celestial events and earthly phenomena. Her discovery of the codex and astrolabe—ancient instruments of astronomical and navigational significance—provides key insights into the cycle's origins and effects.

Central to the hypothesis is the periodic return of a specific comet, Comet 55P/Tempel-Tuttle, the parent body of the Leonid meteor shower, which has an orbital period of about 33 years. Identified through the codex and astrolabe and recalled by Sully from her father's incessant believe that it might have been celestial born, this comet, with a 33-year orbital cycle, aligns with historical patterns of significant global events. Sully is now convinced that this celestial body's influence extends beyond mere observation, impacting Earth's environmental and sociological patterns of wars, political shifts, and societal transformations that seem to occur in sync with this 33-year celestial rhythm. The writings in the codex echo the theories of historians like Arnold J. Toynbee regarding cyclical patterns in human civilization and the sociological theories of Karl Mannheim, suggesting a generational cycle of approximately 33 years, marked by the emergence of new societal norms and ideologies.

The codex and astrolabe, adorned with symbols from various cultures, also points to the number 33's significance across different religious and cultural contexts. In Christianity, for instance, the age of Jesus Christ at his crucifixion is traditionally considered 33, a number symbolizing transformation and rebirth—a theme recurrent in the cycle.

Environmentally, Sully realizes the Pacific Decadal Oscillation's phases also align with the comet's cycle. These phases significantly impact global weather patterns, suggesting an environmental component to the Tricennial Nexus Cycle. As well.

Here is a partial list of the events in chronological order, including the number of years between each event that average out to 33 years:

Doom Hunter

In a world on the precipice of multiple cataclysmic events – climate change, political upheavals, pandemics, technological threats, and resource depletion – Dr. Sarah "Sully" Sullivan, a professor of Archaeology and Comparative Mythology at Tufts University, becomes fascinated by the universal concept of the apocalypse across diverse cultures and time periods. Sully believes that hidden within these apocalyptic myths lies a truth that might hold the key to addressing today's looming doomsday scenarios.

Sully's journey unfolds over ten books under the main series umbrella of Doom Hunter. Each book in the series takes readers deeper into the mysteries as the tension steadily builds.

From the biblical Great Flood to the Norse prophecy of Ragnarök, from the Mayan 2012 prophecy to the Book of Revelation in Christianity, Sully uncovers connections between these ancient stories and contemporary concerns. She sees them as warnings about environmental destruction, human behavior, and the consequences of neglecting critical global issues.

Moreover, Sully explores the recurring theme of hell and heaven in various myths and religions, interpreting them as moral lessons about the rewards and punishments linked to human actions. As readers progress through each sub-series, they witness Sully's relentless pursuit of ancient wisdom that may offer solutions to the impending crises of our time.

The tension mounts with every installment until the thrilling conclusion in the last of the series. Here, Sully masterfully pieces together all the evidence she has gathered throughout her global odyssey, leading to a startling and profound conclusion. Can the past guide humanity toward a more sustainable and harmonious future, or are these myths cautionary tales of our own making? Doom Hunter is a captivating literary journey that spans ten series of books, weaving history, mythology, and contemporary challenges into a quest to save our future.

The Order of The Covenant series (Doom Hunter)

You are working on a riveting exploration into the mysterious world of the Knights Templar, a historic order that has captivated the imagination for centuries. This narrative delves into the Templars' transformation from a group formed to protect pilgrims into a powerhouse of military and economic might shrouded in layers of mystique and secrecy.

The series is an Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider action-adventure-thriller genre, where every book in the series is basically a treasure hunt for the main protagonist, Sully, trying to find all the pieces of the Grail puzzle together and countered by one of two villains (or both): the main series antagonist and the individual book antagonist.

The central conflict will always revolve around the core premise: Sully unlocking the Templar secrets—in particular those that refer to the doomsday scenario/apocalypse—and her main antagonist, the Order of the True Covenant, the Vatican guardians of those secrets.

For hundreds of years, this order has been killing people and protecting these secrets for fear their discovery made public could forever damage the Catholic Church. The story works because they are conflicted. On the one hand, the Order are threatened by Sully and want at first to kill her. On the other hand, they too desperately want to find the secrets of the Templars they have been unable to locate. Sully seems more successful than they have been, so it is a balancing act between keeping her quiet and her discoveries from becoming public while giving her just enough rope to find the last of the secrets before they kill her and erase the evidence.

If they can do that, then they will forever have erased the threat of uncovering lost secrets.

Of course, they are going to fail, but not until the 10 books are finished and we move on to the next subseries in the main series of Doom Hunter.

Backstory

Sully's journey into the study of apocalyptic myths had a deeply personal origin. It all began with her late father, Dr. William Sullivan III. He had been a wealthy collector of rare artifacts and manuscripts as well as a professor of archeology—a man whose passion for history and archaeology rivaled her own.

Sully fondly remembers her father as her mentor, guiding her through the intricacies of the past and nurturing her curiosity. They had shared countless hours exploring ancient texts, visiting archaeological sites, and discussing the mysteries of the world's mythologies. However, her father's collection held one particular treasure that would set the course of her life.

William Sullivan's death had been mysterious and questionable, shrouded in secrets and unanswered questions. Before his passing, he had shared a haunting secret with Sully. In his study, hidden within a heavily secured safe, lay his most prized possession—an ancient manuscript. It was a fragile parchment scroll filled with cuneiform inscriptions and adorned with intriguing illustrations.

This manuscript held a story—a myth long forgotten by history. It spoke of a series of catastrophic events, each more ominous than the last, and a looming apocalypse that bore an eerie resemblance to the challenges facing the modern world: environmental devastation, political strife, diseases, and the unchecked growth of technology. It was as if all the apocalyptic stories together were somehow combined—as if the author had known what was about to happen to us today.

How was it possible? Were the doomsday myths scattered across time and the planet true? How could they know this?

What made the manuscript even more intriguing was its questionable origin. William Sullivan had somehow acquired it through nefarious means, and he had made Sully swear never to reveal its existence to anyone. The knowledge of this forbidden text weighed heavily on her, but it also fueled her curiosity and desire to uncover the truth.

Sully believed that her father's mysterious manuscript held a key to understanding the universal concept of the apocalypse. It was a silent message from her father, a challenge to unlock its secrets, and a call to action to explore the myths that might contain the wisdom needed to address the looming doomsday scenarios of the modern world. With the manuscript as her guide and her father's memory as her inspiration, Sully embarked on a lifelong quest to unveil the hidden truths of ancient myths and decipher the warnings they held for humanity.
